Selecting the Right Background Screening Software

An established background screener wanted to move away from their current software provider. After they made a thorough evaluation of what software was available they selected Delvium. The selection criteria was rigorous and included questions about:

• The ISO27001 SaaS platform.
• The number of integrated services e.g. Disclosure, Digital ID and RTW, Credit, PEPs, Sanctions, Social Media, Adverse Media, Animal Rights etc.
• Candidate portal and ease of use on phone, tablet or PC.
• Client portal with the facility to invite a candidate to start the screening process, select any screening package, select any check and communicate directly with the screening team through the client portal. It makes decision making faster and puts the client in control.
• The level of automation and the simplicity of sending references means the same number of screeners can handle a greater number of cases which in turn makes the business more profitable.
• The capability of the software to be configurable for any screening package, any check, any form. Cascading fields make the candidate portal simple and intuitive to use.
• KPI’s and reports were critical to running the business and keeping clients updated.

The client wanted some changes and took their time to plan the migration. They weren’t charged any licence fees until the system went live and had time to configure and test the system thoroughly beforehand.
